IQAC of Uttara University organized Two-day training on “Teaching-Learning Methods and Techniques” on 24-25 January 2016 in the IQAC Seminar Hall of the university. Prof. Dr. Moqbul Hossain, Dean, School of Science and Engineering of Uttara University was present as Chief Guest in the training program. Prof. Dr. Debi Narayan Rudra Paul was presided over by the program. Prof. Dr. Md. Mozahar Ali, Director of Graduate Training Institute, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Prof. Dr. M. Jabed Ali Mirza, Former Director of Graduate Training Institute, Bangladesh Agricultural University and Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Mortuza, Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, were the Resource Person in the training program. Fifty faculty members from the twelve different departments of Uttara University participated in the training program. The participating departments include Business Administration, Computer science and engineering, Textile, Mathematics, English, Bengali, Education, Law, Physical education, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Fashion Design and Technology. The objective of the training program was to enhance the quality of classroom deliberation of the teachers. Prof. Ali discussed about different topics related to teaching-learning methods and techniques such as, Bloom’s taxonomy of learning, non-verbal communication in teaching, designing lesson plan, curriculum format, and course profile.
