Training on “Pedagogy & Metacognitive Tools & Techniques”

A day-long training on “Pedagogy & Metacognitive Tools & Techniques” was organized on 04 June 2016 by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Uttara University at IQAC Seminar Hall. The Program was presided over by Professor Dr. Nazurul Islam, Dean, School of Business. Professor Dr. Debi Narayan Rudra Paul, Director of IQAC, Uttara University delivered his introductory speech at the inaugural session of the program. The program started with the opening remarks from the Chair. The training was conducted by Resource Person Ms Saptaparna Roy, Assistant Professor of English, Department of Humanities and Heritage Institute of Technology- Kolkata. During her deliberation, the resource person mainly focused on the application of theories in classroom teaching. She also discussed the “Blooms Taxonomy” which is one of the three important domains of learning. Ms. Saptaparna also shared some innovative videos which encouraged the audiences to improve their classroom performances.  A total of 50 faculty members from different departments participated in the training program. Professor Dr. M Azizur Rahman,Vice-Chancellor, Uttara University, awarded certificates among the participants as the Chief guest.
